Best Places to Eat in Cartagena

Pizza en el Parque: Plaza Fernandez de Madrid is a vibrant area. You can find locals playing card games and dominos well into the night. Located in the bustling center is Pizza en el Parque. It’s a two-story Italian restaurant in a colonial-style building that serves up delicious homemade pizza.

Mistura: Also located in the Plaza Fernandez is Mistura, a new favorite restaurant of mine which serves up delicious seafood and fusion food (be careful with ordering sushi as all but one of the offerings on the menu include cream cheese [“queso filadelfia”]).

Montmarte: Montmarte is an excellent little Colombian/ French fusion restaurant with the best affordable lunch that I’ve found.

Agua de Lobo: Agua de Lobo is a Spanish style seafood restaurant with an impressive gin bar.

La Vitrola: This traditional high-end restaurant is a block away from the Hotel Santa Teresa. It’s located in the historic Calle Baloco neighborhood.

Café Stepping Stone and The Pebble: Café Stepping Stone is located in Getsemani. It recently opened a sister café, The Pebble, near Plaza San Diego. Both locations offer wonderful brunches and have taken initiatives to empower and educate impoverished Colombian youth. Gluten-free options, vegetarian options, and family-friendly seating are available at both restaurants.
