White House Tavern doesn’t take reservations due to its intimate size, but the table turnover is relatively quick. The restaurant specializes in sandwiches, so even though there isn’t a children’s menu, almost everything on the menu is kid-friendly. Try a crispy chicken sandwich, a white cheddar burger, or a Thai steak. Or, kids with a smaller appetite can choose from the side menu, which includes chicken meatballs, french fries, and creamed corn. Sit at the bar, and the bartender will even whip of a few Shirley Temples for the little ones (and maybe a cocktail or two for parents).
