The Sloth Sanctuary is the world’s only sloth-centric preservation center in the world, and certainly the best place to see the adorable creatures in Costa Rica. The standard Buttercup Tour offers an inside glimpse at the life of sloths, why they’re unique, and how human encroachment affects their habitats. In the learning center, kids can meet the actual sloths and put their knowledge to the test. The tour climaxes with a canoe ride through the sloth’s habitat, making the duration of the entire excursion lasts two hours.
