Soufriere Estate, St. Lucia
Locals have been reaping the benefits of The Diamond Falls Mineral Baths since the 18th century. Continually referred to as one of St. Lucia’s natural wonders, the 6-acre site is ideal for strolling through the gardens and escaping the outside world, with the option to learn more about the tropical plants in the process. Starting in the botanical gardens, visitors can continue along the Diamond Falls Nature trail to spot indigenous insects, birds, and other wildlife species. The trail can certainly be hiked without the help of a guide, but booking one guarantees you get the most out of your experience (and it usually makes traveling with kids a bit easier.) At the end of the trail, you’ll stop to admire the cascading waterfalls and get a chance to spend some time in the mineral baths. Be aware that sometimes the water can get extremely hot, and you may have to add some cooler water to get it to be a comfortable temperature.
