Unnamed Rd, Alajuela Province, San Carlos, Costa Rica

Cacao was once used as currency in Costa Rica. Learn more facts like this on the Don Olivo Chocolate Tour, hosted on a cacao plantation and organic farm. The tour begins with an introduction to the farm and a fruit tasting session before proceeding to the main event: the chocolate. In addition to learning more about the chocolate-making process, kids have the opportunity to taste some (which will obviously be their favorite part of this experience!) Not only will your family get to taste rare Costa Rican fare, but you’ll also learn more about the farm’s agricultural history.
