In the Winter
- Skiing! Free “magic carpet” at Park City Mountain Resort.
- Utah Olympic Park — Free museum that highlights The Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympics. They regularly host skiing events. In the summer, they offer zip lining. There is also a ropes course and a weekly aerial water show that is worth seeing!
In the Summer
- Concerts! Deer Valley offer free Wednesday night concerts. Bring chairs, a picnic (and wine!), and some kid friendly bubbles or a ball and grab a spot on the mountain. Food is also available there.
- Biking — We have an electric bike (it’s a mountain town!), hook up our carrier, and bike to the Park Silly Sunday Farmers Market. A bounce house, face painting, food, vendors, and a beer tent for adults are available here. We usually grab a big bag of fresh kettle corn before biking home.
- The Alpine Slide at Park City Mountain — Kids 3 and up can ride with an adult. Park City Mountain also has mini golf, trampolines, a zipline, and more.
- Hiking — I put the baby in a backpack and my almost one-year-old walks. We like to take the fun gondola ride up the mountain at the canyons and do the easy mile hike up to the “alpine lake” where the orange bubble chairlift is. We talk about the trees and bugs and dirt path and leaves!
Playgrounds & Parks
- Basin Rec — Every weekend (10:30 am to noon) they blow up a bounce house on the indoor field. Kiddos can pull out the big exercise balls and run. MWF they offer a boot camp for adults while they are doing it!
- Park City Library — The BEST library with fun music, art, storytimes (all free), and a fun kids area set up.
- Swaner EcoCenter — Free craft Sundays and $5 rock climbing. Always a cool indoor exhibit and they offer a lot of outdoor exhibits as well.
- Willow Creek Park — Large park with different jungle gyms based on age. There’s also a dog park, pickleball courts, and tennis. Connected by trail system to town and out.
